YouTube TV and ESPN’s long-running carriage drama finally eased in mid-November as the streaming service and Disney-owned networks reached a new distribution agreement. The new deal brought ESPN and ABC back to YouTube TV subscribers after a heated dispute that left millions of sports fans frustrated.

YouTube TV’s base package currently costs $82.99 per month. But early next year, the streaming service will roll out a range of cheaper options for people who want only a subset of live TV channels — including packages centered on sports,

But it appears YouTube is following the approach of other pay-TV providers in offering smaller, genre specific packages — including one for sports — that come with a smaller bill. The Google-owned platform said Wednesday in a blog post that it will offer 10 packages starting next year.
