UConn men’s basketball took down Butler, 79-60, to begin Big East play 1-0 and improve to 11-1 on the season. The game got off to a rough start, with Butler jumping out to a 9-2 lead as turnovers and sloppiness plagued the Huskies. Eric Reibe found a cutting Solo Ball to tie the game at 11 with 13:27 left in the first half.

The Huskies and Golden Eagles are both among the top 10 teams in the nation for 3-point field goal percentage.

UConn's Braylon Mullins, 2025 Indiana Mr. Basketball, showed why he's a top NBA prospect whereas former Lawrence North star Azavier Robinson held his own.

Alex Karaban scored 18 points, including the 1,500th of his career, as fifth-ranked UConn overcame a poor shooting second half to hold off Texas 71-63.
