The New York Knicks face the Orlando Magic and the San Antonio Spurs battle the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup Semifinals on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Basketball fans are getting the best present they could ask for on Christmas Day - a long lineup of televised NBA games. This year has some high-profile matchups both casual and diehard fans will relish as they see superstars hit the hardwood floor on Dec. 25 (a Thursday).

San Antonio is coming off a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, who were runners-up in the 2024 NBA Cup Final before lifting the main NBA Championship in the summer. New York topped the Orlando Magic in its semifinal affair. The Spurs should have the tools to get the job done, but Brunson and Co. are used to being underdogs.

• Wembanyama returned to the lineup after a 12-game absence in Saturday's semifinal victory over Oklahoma City, and came off the bench for the first time in his NBA career. He finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and a pair of blocks.

The 19-1 Thunder are currently the favorites to win the 2025 NBA Cup (-125 at FanDuel ). The Bucks won the competition last year, and the Lakers won the initial version in 2023.

The Dallas Mavericks are wrapping up their week off while the NBA Cup progresses, and will hope to carry over the momentum that built just before the break. Winners of four of their last five due to the blossoming play of Ryan Nembhard and the ascendancy of Cooper Flagg, combined with ace veteran support.
